Standardization of content

Some recommendations to standardize content on Learn DeROSE so your students have a better experience

Cover / Cover

Always try to put some descriptive image of the publication. It's good to maintain a visual identity among your school's images that is compatible with institutional Branding.

You can put information on the image indicating if it is live, or the date BUT consider that in this case when publishing the recording video you will need to put a new cover. If you make a generic cover about the class subject you can keep the same one for recordings.

If the cover has Professor DeRose's image you can use his official photos:

Video player

We recommend the platforms Vimeo.with (paid) and YouTube.with (free) for video hosting.

Content description

Titles

In video titles:

  • do not put the recording date, for that you already have the publication date
  • do not put the instructor's name, for that there is the publication “author” field which allows users to filter. Even if the instructor is not part of your team (e.g.. Professor DeRose) the “author” field allows you to write the name manually.
  • do not put the class duration, for that there is the duration field

Practice and/or theory

Publications can be identified as practice, theoretical or theoretic-practices.

Give preference to practices or theoretical over theoretic-practice.

When the class is a sadhana with less than 10 minutes of “talk/theory” use the “practice” option.

Minimum grade

The minimum grade indicates from which grade users will have access to the publication.

Avoid leaving content aimed at sadhakas with the minimum grade ‘aspirant’.

Hybrid classes

If a class is face-to-face and broadcast online, it is considered a “hybrid” activity. Properly identify your hybrid activities.

Keywords

Keywords do not have accents or spaces. Our team manually manages keywords to generate translations and merge synonyms.

Thus we achieve, for example, that the keyword “meditation” appears as “meditación” in Spanish, “meditação” in Portuguese and “meditation” in English.

  • Whenever possible reuse existing keywords instead of creating new ones
  • Do not put the instructor's name, use the publication “author” field for that.
  • Do not put theory or practice, use the publication field “practice and/or theory".
